The summer season in Lincoln City, Oregon, is a time for everyone to gather and celebrate. The town's beaches are known for hosting various events, such as festivals, fireworks, and car shows. Aside from these, the town also hosts an art week and a variety of other activities. To make the beach even easier to access, the municipality is adding various pedestrian-friendly features, such as the use of Mobi-mat® walkway systems.

Ed Dreistadt, the executive director of Explore Lincoln City, said that the town's summer season is jam-packed with events that allow people to experience the town's unique attractions. “We are pleased to announce this year’s exciting series of summer events. They showcase the beauty and wonders of our exceptional beach town through outdoor adventures, specialized tours, live music, and, of course, our kaleidoscopic kite festival.”

Art on the Edge & Lincoln City Arts Week: One of the town's most popular events is the Art on the Edge Studio Tour, which showcases the various studios of local artists. This self-guided tour will take place on May 20-22. It will feature over 40 participating artists and 20 studio sites.

As Art on the Edge begins, so does Lincoln City Arts Week, running until May 30th. The week-long event will feature ten different studios, galleries, and shops. It will also feature talks and demonstrations by the participating artists.

Summer Kite Festival: The Summer Kite Festival, which is a yearly tradition in Lincoln City, takes place on the D River State Rec Area's beach from June 25-26. It features various activities such as kite-flying demonstrations and a free kids' workshop.

Nauti Mermaid Beach House’s Beach Blanket Concert Series: This popular local establishment, the Nauti Mermaid Beach House, hosts its Beach Blanket Concert Series every other Sunday starting at 3:30 pm. Aside from music, the series will also feature food and beach blankets provided by the restaurant. Enjoy outdoor BBQ and some great live music.

Beach, Bacon, and Brews: Chinook Winds Casino Resort will hold its Beach, Bacon, and Brews event, which will allow people to sample various types of beer and ciders. On July 16, the casino will host a charity cooking competition that will feature five different types of bacon bites. The event will begin at noon. The cost for the event is $25, which includes a tasting glass, a slot play card, and five bacon bites. Designated drivers are also allowed to attend the event for $15 each. Live music will also be performed throughout the event.

Lincoln City Sandcastle Contest at Siletz Bay: The Lincoln City Sandcastle Contest is an annual event on Siletz Bay. This free event is presented by Mo's Lincoln City and features various sandcastle categories such as cruise ships, heads, and mermaids. People can head to the Historic Taft District's SW 51st Street to watch.

Surf City Classic Car Show and Sound Off: Chinook Winds Casino Resort's annual Surf City Classic Car Show & Sound Off will be held on August 27 & 28.
